KUCHING: The federal government needs to immediately review the critical service allowance cut, says Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
“I believe such a decision should be reviewed in the first Cabinet meeting in 2020,” the PKR president said in a statement on Thursday.
Anwar added that the federal government should take into consideration the concerns brought up by the public.
“The ministers are also recommended to use the Cabinet to voice out their opinions on the matter,” he continued.
On Dec 20, the Public Service Department (JPA) announced that critical service allowance would no longer be provided to doctors, nurses, engineers and other professionals joining the civil service starting Jan 1 next year.
