KOTA SAMARAHAN: The Civil Defence Force (APM) here together with the locals, managed to capture a six-foot-long crocodile in Kampung Empila last night (Sept 30).

The unexpected reptile was first spotted around 11.40pm and the locals immediately contacted APM Kota Samarahan for their assistance to manage the crocodile.

Responding swiftly, a team equipped with specialised equipment, was deployed to the scene to confront the creature.

Upon arrival, the team and the locals crafted a trap and installed it by the river to outsmart the crocodile.

It did not take long for the reptile to fall into the trap, resulting in a successful capture.

The crocodile, weighing around 25kg, was subsequently taken back to APM Kota Samarahan office before it was handed over to Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC) for further action.
