MIRI: The Miri Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) has called on members of the public here to contact 085-430389 if their areas are affected by floods during this monsoon season.
Captain (PA) Hazle Shah Abdul Hamid of Miri APM said the agency’s hotline would operate for 24 hours and the public could also contact the district office for assistance.
“We (APM) are ready to face the northeast monsoon with the strength of 53 officers and personnel, with our assets including boats, an ambulance a four-wheel drive vehicle,” he said in a statement here yesterday.
