KUCHING: A 13-foot-long python spotted in a cat’s cage at Lorong Sunang Rajan 1A2, Demak Baru, was captured by Civil Defence Force (APM) Kuching this morning.

A spokesman from APM Kuching said they received an emergency call around 5.55 am and despatched a four-member team to the scene.

On arrival, the team met with the complainant who informed that the python was found inside the cat’s cage. However, it was not disclosed whether any cat was consumed.

The team went to the cage and proceeded to capture the reptile using snake catcher tool.

Once captured, the snake was then released to its original habitat away from the neighbourhood before wrapping up at the operation.
