MIRI: A crane was rescued after it was spotted entangled in a kite string at Jalan Bulan Sabit, near Miri Indoor Stadium, on Monday afternoon (Dec 25).
In a swift response, Miri Civil Defence Force (APM) personnel managed to rescue the bird hanging from a betel nut tree along the road.
According to a Miri APM report, the Civil Defence Force personnel rushed to the scene in response to a distress call around 12.43 pm after a member of the public noticed the trapped bird dangling helplessly in the air.
The APM team released the entangled crane in less than 10 minutes.
