OYA: Three applications for minor rural projects (MRP) worth RM13,000 for religious activities in Dalat constituency have been approved.
Welfare, Commuity Wellbeing, Women, Family and Chilhood Development Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah handed out letters of approval for them at Dalat district-level Maulidur Rasul ceremony at Masjid At-Taqwa here last Thursday.
The MRP fund was for organising Oya sub-district and Dalat district-level Maulidur Rasul celebration amounting to RM3,000, and for Masjid At-Taqwa (RM5,0000) and Masjid Al-Muslihin, Dalat (RM5,000) religious activities.
Temenggong Hendi Suhai cum chairman received the fund on behalf of the celebration organising committee, whereas chairmen Aini Suhaili and Mohd Amzar Abdullah represented Masjid At-Taqwa and Masjid Al-Muslihin respectively.
Fatimah, who is also Dalat assemblywoman, officiated at the event, which was also attended by Oya sub-district Sarawak administrative officer (SAO) Zalina Sait and Ismail Kasah, who represented Mukah Division Resident.
