BETONG: Aqua FT and Kedit FC futsal teams emerged champions of the Minister of Youth, Sport and Solidarity’s Sarawak Cup Betong Division Under-20 Futsal Championship 2017 at Tan Sri Datuk Amar Stephen Kalong Ningkan Sports Hall, near here, on Sunday.
Aqua Ft won the men’s category 3-0 through Mohd Nabil Fikri and Mohd Ilyasa (two goals) against Real United.
They received a cash prize of RM1,000, a trophy and medals while Real United received RM700, a trophy and medals.
Meanwhile, team TTE A and B were joint third to receive a cash prize of RM400, a trophy and medals each.
In the women’s category, Kedit FC took the title to win a cash prize of RM700, a trophy and medals.
Team Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Saint Augustine (SEMESTA) Betong were the runners-up to receive RM500, a trophy and medals.
Team Serijuta A and B shared the third place cash prize of RM300, a trophy and medals each.
Mohd Nabil Fikri (Aqua FT) and Nora Felista (kedit FC) respectively won the best player wardss.
A total of 20 players were shortlisted to represent Betong in the same tournament in Miri on August 25 to 28.
Saribas Assemblyman, Mohd Razi Sitam was present to witness the final and give away the prizes.
