KUCHING: The Archery Range in Petra Jaya here is considered the best location for archery in Malaysia.
Sports Development Officer (SDO) for Archery and Futsal Awang Addin said contingents from other states have also praised the quality of the facilities provided at the Archery Range.
He added he considers the 21st Malaysia Games (SUKMA) Sarawak 2024 to be the best edition he has ever participated among all previous editions.
“Thankfully, contingents from other states are satisfied with our organisation. This might be the best edition for all of Malaysia,” he said when met by reporters at the Petra Jaya Archery Range here today.
Additionally, he expressed hope that a larger futsal stadium would be considered for the future development of futsal in Sarawak, given the impressive performance in futsal during this SUKMA.
“For futsal, our venue still meets the minimum FIFA standard.
“Therefore, maybe we can request or consider building a futsal stadium to provide encouragement and motivation for our athletes to train for future SUKMA Games,” he added.
