KUCHING: Armada SV won the ADUN Sebuyau N.27 Cup Veteran football tournament.
They defeated Tedong Melancar 3-1 in the final that took place at the Kampung Sebangan football field, Sebuyau last weekend.
The champions took home a cash prize of RM2,500 along with a trophy and jerseys.
Armada SV’s goals were scored by Sattar Akau in the 15th and 25th minutes, and Rosli Hakimi in the 47th minute.
Tedong Melancar’s solitary goal was scored by Zamri Abdullah in the 52nd minute. The runners-up received RM1,500 along with a trophy and jerseys.
Meanwhile, Yanzan FC finished third after a walkover win due to their opponents, KLP VET, failing to show up.
Yanzan FC picked up RM1,000, a trophy and jerseys. KLP VET pocketed RM500 and a trophy.
The prize-giving ceremony was officiated at by Yusuf Buji, the special administrative officer to Sebuyau assemblyman Datuk Julaihi Narawi.
