KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud today received two courtesy calls at his residence in Demak Jaya here.
The first courtesy call was by Armed Forces commander General Datuk Seri Panglima Ahmad Hasbullah Mohd Nawawi.
The visit was to introduce Ahmad who was posted for duty to the state on Sept 3 last year.
It was also to extend an invitation from the Defence Minister to Tun Taib to attend the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA) 2019 which would take place from March 19-24.
Also present were the commander of the Eastern Field Command Lt-Gen Datuk Wira Zamrose Mohd Zain.
Later,Tun Taib received a courtesy call from State Commissioner of Police Datuk Azman Yusof.
The purpose of the visit was to invite Tun Taib to the presentation of Pingat Jasa Pahlawan Negara (PJPN) to retired policemen who joined the police force before Oct 17, 1990.
The ceremony will be held at the State Legislative Assembly Building on April 2.
