KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud today received a courtesy call from Lieutenant General Datuk Mardzuki Muhammad, the new commander of the Army’s East Field here.
Mardzuki, who was appointed on Nov 20, 2020, succeeded Lieutenant General Datuk Mohd Zakaria Yadi who has been appointed Chief of Staff at the Malaysian Armed Forces Headquarters.
Mardzuki was accompanied during the visit by Division commander Major General Datuk Dzulkafli Mustaffa and the 9th Brigade commander Brigadier General Shamshor Jaafar.
