BELAGA: A team of 12 personnel from the 7th Battalion of the Border Regiment helped the villagers of the Uma Badeng longhouse clear fire debris yesterday.

The team led by Major Zuhan Mohamad received the mandate from 31st Brigade Infantry Malaysia Commander, Brigadier General Dato’ Fadzil Tajudin to help the villagers under the Jiwa Murni Project.

According to village chief, Nyaban Kulleh, the assistance rendered by the army personnel was very much appreciated by the villagers.

He thanked 31st Infantry Bridged Commander, Brigadier-General Dato’ Haji Fadzil Tajudin and 7th Battalion of the Border Regiment Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Rokaib Ahmad for showing concern for the community here.
