SARATOK: The GPS election machinery has been reminded to campaign prudently to win voters over in the Saratok parliamentary constituency.

Kalaka assemblyman Mohamad Duri said, the good image of GPS should be maintained by all machinery involved throughout the campaign period.

“We do not want any unwanted incident to happen, even though there are many provocations from the opposition.

“We must remain calm and focus on winning the hearts of the people. Remember what GPS is fighting for,” he said at the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Kalaka branch, yesterday (Nov 6).

He added that by working hard together as a team, GPS will win in the 15th general election (GE15).

The PBB Supreme Council member also urged election machinery in Saratok to not be afraid to face the opposition, especially supporters of Datuk Ali Biju from Perikatan Nasional (PN).

“They cheered loudly for their candidates, but more importantly, we have to put in our efforts to win the hearts of voters professionally.

“GPS has both an excellent record and performance, therefore, tell the voters about what the GPS initiative is, convey it to the voters.

“Remind the people what GPS has been fighting for, our struggle will benefit the people.

“Because when the voice of GPS is stronger in parliament, the leadership there will not look down on Sarawak anymore.

“We are fighting for our rights and interests as enshrined in the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63) which have not yet been fulfilled,” he said.
