MUKAH: During a recent site visit to several Rural Transformation Project (RTP) sites, Balingian assemblyman Abdul Yakub Arbi urged contractors to maintain the integrity of project specifications and to complete them on time.

Arbi stressed that the projects were crucial in facilitating the needs of residents in rural areas and that timely completion would ensure that they were able to use the facilities safely.

Speaking at Rumah Tawi, Arbi cited a culvert that was unable to handle the road and had become fractured, creating a safety hazard for residents.

He emphasized that RTP projects, implemented by the state government, would greatly benefit the people and add necessary facilities and services.

Arbi called on contractors to adhere to project specifications and complete the work according to schedule, noting that agencies needed to be firm in their oversight.

The site visit was attended by special officer of Balingian service centre Che Razali Arbi, Mukah administration officer Dominic Ahjun, and assistant engineer of Public Works Department (JKR) Anamaria Robert.
