PADAWAN: A total of 96 students from public and private higher education institutions (IPTA, IPTS) in the Kuching, Kota Samarahan, and Serian divisions received educational assistance from the Jong Clan Association.

The contributions, amounting to RM81,500, aim to support financially disadvantaged students from the Mambong state constituency in pursuing higher education.

The presentation of the financial aid was officiated at by Deputy Minister for Transport Datuk Dr Jerip Susil, at the Jong Clan Association premises here recently.

In his address, Dr Jerip who is Mambong assemblyman expressed gratitude to the Jong Clan Association for their commitment to assisting students in need, irrespective of their ethnicity or religion.

Also present at the event were the association’s chairman Pemanca Jong Tze Ted, and members of the association’s executive committee.
