KUCHING: The ‘Sharing is Caring’ free packed lunch campaign has successfully distributed 4,300 lunch sets to needy families in the city.
The campaign was organised by the Sarawak Housing and Real Estate Developers’ Association (Sheda) Kuching Branch in collaboration with Premier Food Republic and Mom’s Laksa from June 18 to 28.
Sheda Kuching Branch chairman Datuk Sim Kiang Chiok was grateful to the sponsors of the campaign for making it a huge success.
Last Saturday (July 3), Sheda members went to the Old Folks’ Home to present contributions to the elderly at Sarawak Hun Nam Siang Tng.
“We are glad to know that the senior citizens here together with all the staff have completed their Covid-19 vaccination.
“Having said that, we are very grateful to the government for providing the early phase of vaccines to the elderly so that they are protected from the deadly virus,” Sim said.
He noted that the elderly residents were doing very well at the Old Folks’ Home and commended the executive committee and management for taking care of the elderly especially during the pandemic.
