SIBU: A health screening for women was held by the Sibu Businesswomen Association (SBA) which fervently believes that health is wealth.

Organising chairperson Dato Betty Wong said the programme was part of activities lined up for this year to instil awareness on the importance of safeguarding the well-being of members.

“Money cannot buy health and wealth is to have a good health,” she said.

“Thus, measures taken such as this programme is to prevent suffering any form of disease as prevention is better than cure.”

According Wong, the association also invited United Chinese Association’s Women Section committee members to also participate.

She said medical practitioner Dr David Ling Sien Ngan provided the health screening including an ultrasound scan.

“The ultrasound scan is helpful in aiding doctors in checking patients,” she stated.

SBA president Joan Ngu also took part in the programme.
