MIRI: Over the past three years, the Northern Sarawak Journalists Association (NSJA) has organised over 15 community engagement events.

Federation of Sarawak Journalists Associations (FSJA) president and former NSJA president Andy Jong Wan Joo highlighted the active role of NSJA in community projects.

“NSJA has been instrumental in organising community-based projects to support locals,” Jong said during NSJA’s family day held in a resort at Bakam today (Dec 9).

Notably, NSJA’s efforts in blood donation drives garnered recognition.

“In 2021, we were acknowledged as the most responsive organisation in national-level blood drive campaigns,” he added.

The same year, NSJA received a certificate of appreciation from the Congress of Unions of Employees in the Public and Civil Services (CUEPACS) for its commitment to member welfare.

The family day saw over 50 members and their families participate.
