KUCHING: Asteel Group Sdn Bhd yesterday donated a van to Hope Place, a local charitable organisation, as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme.
Asteel Group managing director Victor Hii Lu Thian presented the van to Hope Place’s founder Kelvin Wan at the company’s factory in Demak Laut near here.
The KIA Pregio van will be used by the non-governmental organisation (NGO) to deliver aid to underprivileged families in Kuching. Currently, Hope Place takes care of 192 needy families/individuals in Kuching, ranging from single mothers, OKU, needy families to terminally ill individuals.
Wan thanked Hii and Asteel Group for their generous contribution and support for the needy.
