KUCHING: Astro GO is running a ‘Download & Win’ contest from April 6 to May 17 with exciting prizes up for grabs to encourage more Astro customers to download the app.
Astro customers who download the Astro GO app will stand a chance to win prizes such as Vivo V17 Pro smartphones and JD Sports cash vouchers.
During the movement control order (MCO), all Malaysians are able to access Astro GO for free and enjoy 22 complimentary channels until April 28.
The complimentary viewing for Astro GO has been well received with over 148,000 new registrations.
With over 50,000 on demand videos, customers can keep themselves entertained while catching up on the latest series, or indulging in movie marathons.
With the multi-screen feature on Astro GO, customers can easily link their account to four concurrent devices, so everyone can stream their favourite shows on their personal screen without fighting over the remote.
Currently, the number of monthly active users for Astro GO has grown to more than 1.38 million in the last month, with the spike in its usage driven by the complimentary viewing during the MCO.
In addition, Astro GO also observed a 37 percent higher engagement rate for customers streaming on demand content via Astro GO during the MCO period.
