KUCHING: Police have opened nine investigation papers (IPs) relating to disciplinary offences of senior officers and personnel as well as civil servants of the Kuching district police headquarters (IPD) in 2020 and 2021.

District police chief, ACP Ahsmon Bajah said the offences involved non-compliance in performing duties, namely time management and personal matters.

“There are also complaints from the public regarding dissatisfaction with service delivery.

“All the cases have been resolved. It does not involve drug-related crimes, corruption and other crimes. All (the offences) are tied to disciplinary issues,” he told reporters at IPD Kuching, here on Monday (Feb 21).

He advised his subordinates to carry out their duties with integrity and self-discipline in order to avoid tarnishing the image of the force.

“Time management is one of the important elements in the identity of a policeman and civil servant,” he emphasised.
