KUCHING: One hundred and twenty-one dealers attended the Avon Golden Circle Recognition & Award at Kuching Park Hotel here today.
The event is held every year to thank the cosmetics company’s dealers as well as to recognise their efforts and achievements throughout the year.
According to Avon senior division manager for East Malaysia Anne Mahani Maliang, the event aimed to boost the dealers’ confidence and motivate them.
“Avon would not want to exclude the dealers in promoting new products. As representatives of Avon Cosmetics, the dealers are the most important asset for us to reach a global audience.
“Whenever we launch new products, we would not want the dealers to sell them without knowing their benefits,” she told New Sarawak Tribune after the event.
Apart from a prize-giving ceremony, the event also witnessed a sharing session of product knowledge.
“It is a great opportunity for us to communicate and share our experience and knowledge in selling the cosmetics products,” said Anne.
She added that the Avon franchise comprised of four districts in Sarawak and another four in Sabah.
“Each district will hold the Avon Golden Circle Recognition & Award event to celebrate dealers who have helped in increasing Avon sales,” she said.
“In this district alone, we have six beauty outlets in Kuching and Serian,” she revealed.
“We welcome all levels of dealers. Apart from housewives, our dealers also comprise of working-class women and even students.”
The award ceremony saw four categories in which dealers were awarded in, namely Unit Executive Award, Unit Manager Award, Senior Unit Manager Award and Unit Director Award.
Avon Malaysia was established in 1977 with more than 160 Avon Beauty Boutiques throughout the nation.
The company is dedicated to empowering women everywhere and brings with it a promise to give back to the community.
The idea of having dealers to represent Avon was to create a platform of opportunity in earning additional income.
