KUCHING: The top management from Beijing Beca Sci-Tech Co Ltd has briefed Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan on the latest development of its proposed integrated oil and gas project in Sarawak, recently.
BECA has completed soil investigation and sea survey with satisfactory results for them to proceed with the project and extend their gratitude to Awang Tengah and the Sarawak government for the various assistance and advice rendered.
Meanwhile, Awang Tengah, who is also the Minister for International Trade, Industry and Investment (MINTRED) during the meeting said the project was in line with the Post COVID-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030 and assured that Sarawak government would facilitate the proposal.
MINTRED deputy minister Datuk Dr Malcolm Mussen Lamoh, MINTRED advisor Datuk Naroden Majais, permanent secretary for the Ministry of Natural Resources and Urban Development Datuk Zaidi Mahdi, group chief executive of Sarawak Energy Berhad Datuk Sharbini Suhaili, MINTRED acting permanent secretary Dzulkonain Masron and senior officials from various government departments and agencies were among those present.
