DARO: The spirit of cooperation and commitment is why Surau Darul Ihsan at Kampung Badong won an award during the state-level Maal Hijrah 1441H celebration.

The award meant that Darul Ihsan became the first surau in Mukah to receive the Best Surau Management and Administration award.

Surau chairman Abang Shamsure Abang Wahab said the award reflected the success of all members of the surau committee.

“Surau Darul Ihsan, built in 2000, can accommodate 100 pilgrims. Of course, this achievement is a historical milestone for Kampung Badong in particular and Daro district in general,” he said.

Abang Shamsure stated that the committee often exchanged views and discussed the administration of the surau, while the Daro District Islamic Religion office acted as the reference body for surau administration matters.

He thanked all parties who were involved in assisting the surau committee.
