KUCHING: Members of Angkatan Zaman Mansang Sarawak (Azam) went on a working visit to Kuala Lumpur to build strategic collaborations with key agencies.
These included the Malaysian Youth Council (MBM), in line with Sarawak’s vision of becoming a developed and high-income state by 2030.
On the first day of the visit, Azam Sarawak held a strategic meeting with MBM to explore ways to strengthen youth leadership and participation in nation-building.
During the discussions, Azam introduced its flagship youth initiative, Azam Young Souls (AYS), a platform for cultivating dynamic and forward-thinking young leaders from Sarawak.
AYS has earned recognition for empowering youth to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of both their communities and the nation.
“Collaborating with key agencies like MBM enables us to further align our efforts with national goals for youth empowerment,” said Hassnal Hakim, Strategic Communication Manager of Azam Sarawak.
“Through this partnership, we aim to provide greater opportunities for Sarawak’s youth to take on leadership roles and drive progress in both the state and country.”
Although the delegation had originally planned to visit the SDG Centre KL on the first day, the visit was rescheduled to a later date during this working trip.
Azam remains committed to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by integrating SDG principles into its community development programmes.
The upcoming visit to the SDG Centre KL will further emphasise Azam’s dedication to ensuring its initiatives contribute to long-term, sustainable growth across Sarawak.
“We remain fully committed to embedding sustainability into all our programmes and will continue to work closely with partners who share this vision,” he said.
