KUCHING: Tanjong Datu assemblyman Azizul Annuar Adenan handed over a People’s Project (Projek Rakyat) that involved constructing roads to connect houses in two Kampung Stunggang Melayu on Friday.

The project was completed by Sam Wan Contractor and was officially handed over to Lundu District Council secretary Norashikin Brahim.

The Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) of both the old and new Kampung Stunggang Melayu were present as witnesses.

Before this, Azizul had reviewed another Sarawak Rural Transformation Project (RTP) that involved renovating the Klaoh Lundu Village Hall. The renovation work was done by the Public Works Department (PWD) and the contractor MOIS Bersatu Enterprise.

Azizul also inspected the RTP Project for constructing new sports facilities in the Lundu District, including a Sepak Takraw court at the Lundu District Stadium.

The Lundu District Council Implementing Agency (MDL) and Gabungan Construction contractors were responsible for this project.

Addressing complaints from residents about the water plant in Gunung Gading, Azizul personally surveyed the facility. The water plant has had issues with blockages during heavy rainfall.
