SEMENYIH: PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali said he just happened to bump into Sembrong MP Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein when both of them were on holiday with their families in Morocco recently.
He said there was no secret political discussion then and asked the general public to be open minded in this regard.
“I wasn’t on vacation with Hishammuddin. We just ran into him and his family in Morocco. In fact I bumped into many Malaysians there, and there is no issue,” said Mohamed Azmin, who is also Economic Affairs Minister, after handing over keys to the occupants of a new apartment here yesterday.
He pointed out that his relationship with the former Umno vice-president began decades ago.
“Even when I was in the opposition, I attended the wedding of Hishammuddin’s child,” said Mohamed Azmin when responding to a question about a photograph showing both of them with their families on holiday in Morocco.
The photograph has left tongues wagging on social media, especially speculation about political cooperation between Mohamed Azmin and Hishammuddin.
“We need to be more civilised. Don’t assume when they (leaders from opposing political parties) met, there would be political discussion. For the sake of our country we need to have good relationship with everyone,” said Mohamed Azmin. – Bernama
