KUALA LUMPUR: Travel Industry Network (TIN) Media has launched the country’s first independent B2B travel portal, Tin.media, to promote tourism, particularly in conjunction with the Visit Malaysia Year (VMY) 2020.
Its co-founder, Presanth Chandra said the mainstream digital media aims to facilitate tourism industry-specific information for stakeholders.
“We want to be established as a digital platform to bring the whole travel industry ecosystem together and connect them substantially across all the travel trade markets in Asia.
“In fact, we also want to boost industry-specific engagement through distinctive informative contents that have been categorised into various segments, namely hospitality, airlines, international and domestic news, as well as technology,” he told reporters after the launch of Tin.media here, yesterday.
Presanth said there would also be a segment for industry professionals to feature their contents on wedding, as well as health and golf tourism, among others.
The portal also features reports globally through digital engagements.
“It also provides a platform to discuss the ongoing challenges in the industry, especially in Malaysia and conclude with a distinctive solution,” he said.
Meanwhile, Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) chairman Datuk Seri Azman Ujang encouraged travel industry players to use the digital platform for learning and sharing experiences.
“We need to appreciate TIN Media’s initiative towards the tourism industry ecosystem to stay ahead of competition from the neighbouring destinations.
“Such initiatives are very important for the Malaysian travel industry in order to achieve VMY 2020’s goal, to unite the industry players under one roof to attract more tourists into the country.
“The range of digital services will help the industry players adopt the technology and drive business to the next level,” he said. — Bernama
