Perhaps, a good reminder to find
As we start the new workweek
It’s back to the same old grind
Nothing has changed, in the new year
So we keep on banging
Bashing our head on the same wall
Yes, we need to be broken first
Before being put back together again
There is not enough listening
In the world today
Too much talking, is the norm
So much so, the noise is overbearing
The night of unlistening, has overtaken
It’s foreshadowing the long darkness
But have courage, and listen you must
For the dawn will come, at the day break
