KUCHING: Sarawak recorded no new positive Covid-19 cases on Thursday (Sept 10), with the total number of cases in the state thus far remaining at 700.

In a statement on Thursday (Sept 10), the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said that no new cases had recovered and been discharged from hospitals, with the total number of recovered and discharged cases so far remaining at 676 or 96.57 percent.

“Five individuals are still receiving treatment at hospital isolation wards – two in Bintulu Hospital and one each in Sarawak General Hospital (SGH), Sibu Hospital, and Miri Hospital.

“Three new person-under-investigation (PUI) cases were reported and no PUIs are awaiting laboratory results,” they said.

As of Thursday, only one Covid-19 cluster remains active in the state, namely the Alam Cluster in Bintulu with eight cases — seven of which had recovered and been discharged from the hospital while one case was still being treated at Bintulu Hospital.
