BALINGIAN: Youth movement Saberkas has picked local assemblyman Abdul Yakub Arbi to be its Balingian branch chairman for a three-year term.
During the branch supreme council meeting, Munir Din was appointed deputy chairman I and Hafizzul Abdul Halim as deputy chairman II.
Muhamad Tarmizi Karnain Abdah has been named secretary, assisted by Tuai Rumah Boney Kinsun and Abdul Zaid Jahui.
The position of treasurer will be held by Ardyman Matan @ Henry.
The committee members are Nur Afidah Akim, Fadzillah Zaffarin, Azizi Anyut, Norjan Liau, Shabri Kadir and Dr Normy Kunyo.
Abdul Yakub congratulated the newly appointed members .
“Saberkas is a very active youth organisation in in Sarawak,” said Abdul Yakub in congratulating the newly appointed members .
“I hope that units under the Balingian constituency continue to be active. A total of 18 programmes have been implemented and this includes the community service during the Covid-19 pandemic,” he said.
