KUCHING: A Bandar Kuching constituent, who was a victim of fire recently, received assistance to repair his damaged house.

Bandar Kuching MP Dr Kelvin Yii Lee Wuen disclosed that the man had reached out to his office for help as he had financial constraints.

“I recently visited him together with Pending assemblywoman Violet Yong and my special assistant George Lam Li Kang. The man’s house was affected by a fire that occurred in the neighboring house a few days ago.

“The fire spread to his residence, causing part of the building’s structure to be damaged,” he said in a social media post on today.

“After understanding the situation, I provided him with some assistance through my constituency allocation for the repairs.”

Dr Yii assured that he would do his best to help the disadvantaged despite limited resources.
