KUALA LUMPUR: Bank Rakyat is bringing back its Personal Financing-i DivA and Investment-i Account Rizq Plus with new value-add to its members.
Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Datuk Ewon Benedick said this initiative is to ensure that the bank’s members would enjoy various benefits through the provision of product and service facilities designed and developed specifically for them, besides getting the benefit from dividend payment.
“I believe Bank Rakyat’s concern is in line with the values of Malaysia Madani which prioritises the well-being and prosperity of the people comprehensively.
“This shows the commitment and generosity of the bank in ensuring the economic welfare and prosperity of its members are protected,” he said in his speech when officiating Bank Rakyat’s annual general meeting 2023 which gathered 902 individual and cooperative members nationwide yesterday.
Meanwhile, Bank Rakyat acting chairman Datuk Mohd Irwan Mohd Mubarak said the launch of the new initiative is a proactive move by the bank in offering financial services that are comprehensive to appreciate and build the confidence of its members in Bank Rakyat.
This time, the Personal Financing-i DivA offers a fixed profit rate as low as 2.99 per cent with a maximum financing of up to RM400,000 and financing period of up to 10 years.
In a press conference, Bank Rakyat chief executive officer Mohammad Hanis Osman shared that he expected a competitive return of around 2.5 per cent for the Investment-i Account Rizq Plus product.
He said, through this investment account, Bank Rakyat is offering a special draw amounting to RM69,000 for 69 winners in conjunction with Bank Rakyat’s 69th anniversary this year. This campaign runs from June 10 until Dec 31, 2023.
Besides having the opportunity to win prizes from the campaign, members also have the chance to participate in the Investment-i Account Rizq Plus draws together with other customers which are held every month offering overall prizes worth RM1 million and the half-year special draw amounting to RM100,000.
Bank Rakyat’s membership now stands at 812,757 members. – BERNAMA
