BARAM: Deputy Minister of Public Health, Housing, and Local Government, and Marudi assemblyman, Datuk Dr Penguang Manggil recently made a visit to the Baram Civic Centre to evaluate the upgrading works of the hall which has been completed at a total cost of RM908,307.
Several upgrading works at the Baram Civic Centre, which commenced in December last year, have now been successfully completed.
He explained that the purpose of the visit was to evaluate the hall’s condition, particularly following the completion of the roof replacement and repairs to the surrounding parking area.
“The hall’s electrical wiring will be replaced entirely, as the current system is outdated and requires renewal to ensure user safety,” he said.
Several other facilities such as worn-out curtains, doors, and furniture, will also be replaced, additionally an LED screen will be installed to further upgrade the hall’s appearance.
During the visit, Dr Penguang also took the opportunity to gather feedback from attendees on various matters concerning the Baram Civic Centre, with the goal of addressing the local community’s needs.
This visit was part of his ongoing commitment to ensuring that public facilities in Baram continue to be upgraded and maintained in the best condition for the benefit of local residents.
