BARIO: Seventeen entrepreneurs here had an eye-opening opportunity to learn ways to grow their network during a workshop over the weekend.
Organised by the Politeknik Mukah (PMU) Trade Department, the workshop aimed at empowering entrepreneurs in Bario to become leaders in their communities and be an inspiration to others.
Community leader Penghulu Robertson Bala said the villagers were ambitious and eager to expand but were hampered by a lack of crucial business connections, “therefore, government agencies and education institutions are welcomed to organise more programmes in future.”
He thanked lecturers Kartini Che Ibrahim, Fadzli Ahmad and Saiful Nizam for sharing their knowledge through the programme.
The workshop ended with a certificate presentation ceremony. Among those present were deputy academic director Zaukafli Mohamed and PMU Trade Department head Mohd Saiful Nizam.
