KUCHING: Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB) members believe the entry of Baru Bian and See Chee How into the party will strengthen the party in facing the coming state election.
PSB Marudi Branch chairman Datuk Sylvester Entri Muran said the ex-Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) leaders had made the right choice to further their political career under PSB as they shared the same aspirations and directions for Sarawak.
“I believe both Baru and See could see themselves contributing from their vast experience in politics, their fair share of expertise and ideas through PSB for the sake of Sarawak and its people.
“The political force brought by them will definitely make PSB become more solid in facing the next state election,” he said in a statement today.
Baru is Selangau MP and Ba’ Kelalan assemblyman while See is the Batu Lintang assemblyman. They both joined PSB on Saturday.
Meanwhile, PSB’s candidate for Lingga constituency Datuk Wan Abdillah Edruce Abdul Rahman said the ‘party-hopping’ act by the two individuals was inevitable since they needed to choose a ‘steady and good ship’ to continue their political struggles.
Wan Abdillah also refuted suggestions that PSB would sideline the Malays assuring that there was no place for racism in the party.
He added that PSB president Datuk Seri Wong Soon Koh had been around in the political scene for donkey years and believed that Wong would be able to helm the party fairly.
