KUCHING: Thirty-five houses under the Minor Rural Project-Program Penambahbaikan Rumah Miskin Sarawak (MRP-PPRMS) programme for the Batu Kawa constituency have been successfully renovated.

Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian said the 35 houses were from 36 houses selected in the first phase.

He said the project started in 2018 in two phases — the second phase would be implemented in the near future.

Dr Sim, who is also Batu Kawa assemblyman, added that each house was allocated a maximum of RM15,000 and an allocation of 35 houses was estimated at RM500,000.
