KUCHING: A Rural Transformation Projects contractor selection ceremony for Kuching, Bau and Lundu was held at the MBKS Indoor
Stadium here last Friday.
Government departments and agencies involved in the project execution are Public Works Department (JKR), DBKU, MBKS, MPP, DID (Drainage and Irrigation Dept), Kuching Water Board, SESCO.
SUPP constituency of Batu Kitang was granted RM5 million for 28 projects whereas Batu Kawah was given RM6.06 million for 30 projects.
The minor projects are based on local community requirement and proposed by the assemblyperson (ADUN) to the Resident office before they are then allocated to the respective
government departments and agencies for execution.
All BN state constituencies are each given RM5 million a year to implement Rural Transformation Projects.
