KUCHING: A service centre at Batu Kitang, Lorong Leeling almost caught on fire after a smoke was seen coming out of the building.
State Fire and Rescue Operations Centre received a distress call at 11.42pm last night and despatched a team from Batu Lintang station.
“The team arrived at the incident location and found that only an electrical appliance was completely burnt. The fire did not spread to the structure.
“Firemen used water from the building’s washroom to put out the fire. Once the situation was under control, they returned to their station,” it said.
It added that the cause of fire and the total loss of properties are still under investigation.
