BAU: A septuagenarian in Kampung Buso was injured when a branch fell on him while he was felling a tree yesterday (Sept 10).
The incident happened around 4.10 pm.
A spokesman for the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said firefighters from Bau station were promptly deployed to the scene.
On arrival, the team administered initial treatment to the 71-year old injured man and carefully transported him away from the scene on a scoop stretcher.
The victim, who sustained injuries to his right leg and a minor wound on his mouth, was subsequently transported to Bau Hospital for further medical attention.
After ensuring that the situation was safe, the team concluded the operation at 4.37pm.
