KUCHING: Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) director of sales and marketing, Premala Danapakiam, has been appointed as the regional chairperson of the Malaysian Association of Convention and Exhibition Organisers and Suppliers (MACEOS) for the 2024-2026 term.
In her new role, Premala will be working closely with MACEOS president Datuk Dr M Ghandi and honorary secretary Lee Mark to spearhead initiatives within the Sarawak Chapter, including the educational programmes in partnership with MACEOS vice-president of education, Mona Manap, alongside Business Events Sarawa (BESarawak) for the benefit of the regional MACEOS members.
In her statement, Premala thanked everyone for their support, adding that former regional chairperson for MACEOS Sarawak, Gracie Giekie, has been instrumental in solidifying Sarawak’s role as a business events hub within Malaysia.
On another note, chief executive officer of BCCK, Eric Van Piggelen, was excited about Premala’s nomination as a representative for BCCK.
“This collaboration in MACEOS will bolster our ongoing efforts to elevate BCCK’s reputation as a premier BE hub for Sarawak.
“We are delighted to welcome Premala as the chairperson of the MACEOS Sarawak Chapter.
“Her extensive experience and dedication to the business events industry make her the ideal leader to drive our initiatives in Sarawak forward.
