BINTULU: The Bintulu Development Authority (BDA) has been selected as the recipient of the “Most Sustainable City Award of Sarawak 2023” during the celebration of World Urban Planning Day (WUPD) 2023 at the National level, on Thursday.
The award was received by its general manager, Datuk Muhammad Yakub Kari, presented by the Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Local Government Development, Datuk Wira M Noor Azman Taib, at the Seri Siantan Hall, Putrajaya Corporation Conference Complex.
The selection was made during the meeting of the Sustainable City Award Committee 2023 on October 17 by the Department of Urban and Rural Planning (PLANMalaysia), Ministry of Local Government Development.
The basis for this award is the assessment of sustainability levels within the Malaysian Urban-Rural Development Indicators Network Programme (MURNInets).
