KUCHING: Premier Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg has announced a one-and-a-half-month bonus for all the Bintulu Development Authority (BDA) staff as an appreciation for their contribution to the development of the division.
“Together with the board of directors, we have decided to give the bonus to all the staff for their hard work and dedication.
“We hope that the revenue of BDA will continue to increase so that we can continue to announce more bonuses in the future,” he said at the 45th BDA anniversary celebration in Bintulu last night (July 14).
Abang Johari, who is also the BDA chairman, said BDA, which was established in 1978, had transformed from a coastal town to a progressive city, which has been developing rapidly over the decades.
Thus, he urged everyone to work together to ensure Sarawak continues to progress and prosper in the years to come.
Sarawak state secretary Datuk Seri Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki and BDA general manager Datu Muhamad Yakup Kari were among those who were present.
