KUCHING: Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah said that the people of Dalat should be grateful for the modern facilities that they are enjoying.

She said these facilities are the result of the state government’s relentless effort in helping the people.

Fatimah said despite the current rainy season, various development projects continue to be carried out because these are necessary in the overall plan to upgrade the people’s living standard.

She said the state government also puts aside money to renovate the homes of those who deserve to be helped.

“Each home is allocated RM7,000 for its renovation. One such home is in Kampung Terus Dalat and it is one of the 46 projects approved here this year.

“In 2018, 45 houses were renovated or repaired under the programme. Some homes were given RM15,000,” she said during a PBB Women Kampung Medong Hulu and Kampung Medong Seberang pre-Christmas celebration in Dalat, last Saturday.
