ASAJAYA: Asajaya assemblyman Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah has urged road users in his constituency to be patient with the current poor road conditions.
Karim, who is Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Minister, said he was also concerned and wanted to see the road repaired and enlarged.
“However, we also want development to happen so it requires transportation like lorries to carry building materials.
“And due to the many lorries using the road in the Asajaya area, it has also caused damage,” he said.
He said this at a press conference after attending Asajaya’s victory in the state polls thanksgiving and appreciation ceremony at the Asajaya Sports Complex on Saturday (Jan 22).
He added that based on postings in Facebook during the last 12th State Election and after that, comments on damaged roads were declining.
“This shows that such issues are raised only to worsen the situation but the people in the Asajaya constituency understand this matter.
“The social media is open and many people are commenting, some of them are not from Asajaya,” he said.
In this regard, he hoped that the people would be patient and provide support concerning the current road situation.
“God willing, our area (Asajaya constituency) will continue to develop,” said Abdul Karim.
