KUCHING: Parents are advised to give their full loving care, be patient and not to practise favouritism between their normal and special children.
The advice came from the Chief Minister’s wife, Datin Amar Dato Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Haji Bujang when she officiated at PDK Sri Satok ‘Raikan Raya’ gathering organised by Petra Jaya Welfare Association (Persatuan Kebajikan Petra Jaya) held at SK Datu Merpati Jepang Hall, yesterday.
Dato Juma’ani added that PDK Sri Satok is close to her heart and hoped that trainees in the centre do their best in whatever activities their take part in.
The gathering was held to encourage the trainees to social, to give an opportuinty to the public to get closer to the special children and to enhance ties between the parents and PDK staffers.
The event was made merrier with singing, chicken dance and other activities by the trainees.
Dato Juma’ani also presented sports apparels to Nur Farhani Kudus who has been selected to take part in an athletic meet at USIM, Nilai, Negeri Sembilan. She is also a backup athlete for the Sarawak Athletic Team.
