KUCHING: Beluru district has turned zone status from green to yellow after recording a total of five local infection cases today.
“This brings the total number of yellow districts in the state to 16,” said Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a daily Covid-19 press statement.
Alongside Beluru in yellow are Tebedu, Bau, Mukah, Selangau, Dalat, Limbang, Telang Usan, Kanowit, Belaga, Lundu, Bukit Mabong, Tatau, Pusa, Saratok and Sebauh with a cumulative of 88 cases.
Samarahan, Sri Aman, Song, Serian, Julau, Betong, Meradong, Kuching, Kapit, Bintulu, Miri and Sibu districts remain red zones with a total of 2,564 local infection cases recorded in the last 14 days.
“Meanwhile, Tanjung Manis, Subis and Sarikei districts remain in orange with a total of 73 local infection cases reported in the same period,” it said.
Nine other districts in Sarawak are green.
