KOTA SAMARAHAN: After the completion of their three-month Samarahan Skillpreneurs Programme yesterday, 40 youth from both sexes aged 20 to 40 are looking forward to life with confidence.
The skills they have learnt during the programme include hair styling, hair colouring, massage, cosmetology and brow shaping.
They attended classes at ZS Aura Beauty and Wellness before being assigned mentors for their practicals.
A representative for Muara Tuang assemblyman, Councillor Aziz Mohamad officiated at the certificate presentation ceremony.
New Sarawak Tribune spoke to some of the participants about their hopes for the future.

I gained a lot from the programme. I already have my barbershop. I hope to encourage more youngsters to take part in similar programmes.

I started as a barber by giving my friends haircuts in high school. I joined this programme to get the certificate. I have learnt new things from the programme.

I hope to open a mobile spa with this certificate. With this programme, more youth are going to start their own small businesses.

It is so nice to see many participants of this programme can finally start their own beauty service. Programmes like this are beneficial and must continue. With this certificate and experience from the programme, I can gain more money.
