KUCHING: Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) Sarawak will work closely with Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Sarawak chairman Baru Bian in the upcoming 12th state election.
Bersatu Sarawak chairman Jaziri Alkaf Abdillah Suffian said as Bersatu is a new party in Sarawak, it needed assistance and cooperation from the component parties within Pakatan Harapan (PH).
“It is the hope of Bersatu that all PH component parties in Sarawak (Bersatu, PKR, DAP and Amanah) can sit together and come to a unanimous decision on the allocation of seats for PRN-12,” he said.
He added that the seat allocation was critical in order for Sarawak PH to face Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) in the state election.
“We also hope that all internal conflicts of the PH component party can be resolved to ensure the mission to conquer Sarawak from GPS shall be successfully implemented.
“I also strongly agree that only winnable candidates should be considered to vie in the election,” he said.
Bersatu Sarawak was launched in 2018. Jaziri said the public has responded well to the party as evidenced during its series of tours throughout Sarawak over the last few months.
