PUSA: The Betong Development Agency (BDDA) has earmarked a sum of RM200mil for the development of the Beting Maro constituency.
Beting Maro assemblyman Razaili Gapor revealed that the first phase of development projects in Pusa and Beladin has received approval from higher authorities and is set to receive RM100mil from the allocation.
These announcements were made during a meeting with community and tribal leaders (KMKK) and the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Beting Maro Branch meeting here on Tuesday (Sept 19).
Additionally, Razaili proposed allocating RM10mil for the construction of riverbanks near the food court in Pusa and RM11mil for riverbanks in the cemetery area of Kampung Kalok, Pusa.
He affirmed his commitment to establishing a commercial centre and convention centre in Pusa, utilising funds from BDDA’s phase 2 allocation.
The scope of work includes repairing the Kampung Batang Maro road with an allocation of RM5mil, constructing Jalan Ban from Sungai Beras to Kampung Beladin with an allocation of RM2mil, and building a jetty along the river from Kampung Hilir Beladin to Kampung Hulu Beladin.
Furthermore, Razaili announced that various activities have been planned to enliven the upcoming Pesta Bangsawan scheduled to be held in Beladin in October.
This three-day festival aims to showcase the culture of the Beting Maro constituency to a wider audience beyond the area.
